- Part of the itinerary includes unmaintained trails, cliffs, ropes and ladders. Always follow your guide’s instructions.
- There are cliffs as part of the itinerary. Helmets are provided for all participants, but please bring your own if you wish.
- This is the time of year when wasps become more active. Avoid irritating wasps or entering bushes where nests may be located.
- Please note that a small, Japan-based news team will likely be filming activities and participants on this adventure, with a potential for short interviews with permission by the participant.
- For safety reasons, photography is prohibited in several areas of the itinerary. Please follow your guide’s instructions.

- Enjoy a barbecue meal featuring seafood from Otaru.
- The centerpiece of the meal is a pairing of local wine and “Otate” scallops – a delicacy produced in Otaru.
- A glass of local wine is included. Additional drinks are provided on a cash-on basis.
- Cash-on is available in Japanese Yen only.
